Originally I followed a science-based education and qualified as a mathematics teacher, although I always had an interest in creative pursuits in my leisure time.
I was fortunate enough to study textile arts later as a mature student, which I can thoroughly recommend, it was a wonderful experience.
Recently I have begun to explore ideas which use images captured on my digital camera as a starting point for design. I make printing blocks, based on the images, to print either directly onto fabric or to scan and manipulate via the computer.
