Rachel Terry joined Textilia III recently having had a background in both machine and hand embroidered textiles over the last eleven years. She completed City and Guilds embroidery in 2004 and has since worked to commission producing scarves and other wearables, and larger scale wall-hangings. She particularly enjoys dyeing her fabrics using a space dyeing technique and uses both hand and machine stitch to embellish her pieces.

For her larger scale work she also employs rag rug techniques which she was inspired by as a child and more recently having seen them worked at Ashington, Northumberland in the 1990s. Presently she is working on a number of private commissions and is undertaking an HNC in Textiles at Craven College.
