Elizabeth enjoys incorporating mixed media techniques into her textile work. Her main inspiration is the landscape and currently she is exploring old Ordnance Survey maps and guide books as a basis for her work. These are torn, cut, painted, printed and then rearranged and embellished with hand and machine stitching to create new work.
She also uses her own photographs (often digitally manipulated) in wall pieces and combines them with a variety of textile techniques including hand and needle made felt.
Elizabeth enjoys experimenting with a wide variety of book making techniques and is particularly fascinated by folded structures. She also takes commissions for speciality photo books, details of these can be seen on her own website.
